Applications for transfer from regionally accredited institutions are welcomed. Any applicant, who has enrolled in courses at another college or university, after the completion of high school, must apply as a transfer student.
Admission for transfer students is selective. The admission evaluation for transfer students is primarily an academic review. In addition to a complete evaluation of an applicant’s secondary school record, transfer admission decisions are also based upon a thorough evaluation of an applicant’s cumulative college record.
All transfer applicants must submit their secondary school records, official transcripts of all work completed at other colleges, and either SAT or ACT scores. Transfer applicants must apply with an intended major. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.700 in previous college work, SAT and/or ACT scores, summaries of college courses taken (course descriptions, syllabi, transcripts), and the secondary school record are required for a transfer student's application to be considered.
Applicants previously enrolled at Loyola, who are seeking readmission must request their college transcripts from the Loyola College Records Office, and must submit transcripts from all other colleges attended.
